Family Trips

RGS Families are strongly urged to coordinate travel plans and other such activities with school vacations, as classroom experiences cannot be repeated for students who are absent. Please note, vacations and family trips are not included in the list of valid causes considered as excused absences. 

Families who plan to be gone for more than 15 school days are advised to withdraw their child and re-enroll upon return. In the event that appropriate and available services and resources have been provided by the District, the District may proceed with disenrollment (expulsion) of the student due to non-attendance after 15 consecutive absences.
